Tip of the Iceberg: Managing the Covert Forces that Can Sink Your SOA Initiative.

When discussing produced services within an SOA,we like to use an iceberg analogy. A service's WSDL is analogous to the portion of the iceberg that is above the waterline - this is the part of your service that consumers (i.e., application developers) care about. Most of the service's working parts reside below the waterline, and those parts are important to the stakeholders in your organization who are involved in production-side governance.
